Hydroball: Innovation for Smart Water Management in Tomato Fields
Our latest milestone in the world of efficient agriculture: In early April, we successfully installed the autonomous Hydroball sensors in Grupo AN’s tomato fields.
Hydroballs provide real-time data on critical parameters for efficient crop management: volumetric water content, water tension (a measurement of water availiability for the plant), soil temperature and electrical conductivity, which relates to nutrient concentration and salinity.
During installation, we had the assistance of Pedro Belzunce, the farm manager, and innovation project leads Sergio Menéndez and David Soba.
Today, our autonomous sensors protect and watch over the growing tomato plants, positioning Grupo AN at the forefront of adopting advanced agricultural technologies. The blend of traditional knowledge and cutting-edge technology is yielding promising results, and we eagerly anticipate a bountiful harvest.
The installation in Grupo AN fields is done thanks to the CircInWater lump sum.
At Denodl, we take pride in contributing to the future of agriculture through Hydroball.
